Today

Today has finally come. Through God’s grace He has allowed for this team of 8 to fundraise all that was needed, take the time off from work, renew passports, and be on our way to Managua, Nicaragua!

Four of the team members had been sick with a cold/flu virus that had struck about 1/4 of the GCCM congregation. Abelardo, Karisa, Marcos, and myself are feeling much better. Ali told me yesterday she woke up feeling a little sick but that she was taking medication. Please pray for her; that she will be healthy for this trip.

Please join us in prayer for the people of Managua. Pray that those we come in contact with will be receptive to our message and that they may see Jesus’ love and forgiveness through our lives and the Gospel.

Thank you for reading this. We will try to post updates throughout the week.

One More Push!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for all the support during the mission team’s Hamburger BBQ event on Sunday 06/14/09. We couldn’t have had such a success without you guys, Thank God. Those hamburgers came out great because of my God given talent to cook great hamburgers :) . In addition, the contributions so far have been an amazing help to our cause. We hope it is God’s will for many of us to go to Nicaragua and we will continue to pray that everything goes well on this mission trip. May your hearts be blessed with God’s Love. On behalf of our mission team i write to you all: a sincere and joyous Thank you!!!

A message from the church in Managua

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our blog. We are very excited about this opportunity and what God is going to do in Managua the week of July 16-24th.

Here are a couple of prayer requests:

1) That we will make the most out of the local fundraisers we are doing. This Sunday, June 14th, we are having a Hamburger sale at our church building after the 11am service. Pray this event is a success!

2)That God will prepare the hearts of the people in Managua so they may receive His Word.

“And the one whom the seed was sown on good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.” Matthew 13:23
